  • R2-D2 and WALL-E
    On Saturday, December 6, Mike Senna's R2-D2 and WALL-E will be making an appearance at the Camarillo Library.  Mike Senna, a computer programmer and skilled prop maker, has built exact working replicas of R2-D2 and WALL-E.  There will be a robot demonstration and presentation from 12 noon to 1 p.m. and a technical discussion from 2 to 3:30 p.m.  R2-D2 has made numerous television appearances, and Mr. Senna has been invited to bring WALL-E all over the world.  There will be photo opportunities following both presentations.  This should be a fun family event!  For more information, click on  R2-D2.

  • EngageNY Resources for Parents
    PVSD recently adopted EngageNY, a new math curriculum for grades K-8. The resources on this page will help families support their students as they complete EngageNY and other Common Core mathematics assignments.

  • Wellness Meetings for the 2014-15 School Year
    The Pleasant Valley School District is committed to promoting a healthy lifestyle for our students. To send the right message and to help our students make good choices, teachers, staff, parents and students can all work together. Our Wellness Committee will again be meeting this year and anyone interested is encouraged to attend.  The meetings will be held at the Pleasant Valley School District office at 600 Temple Avenue.  They will begin at 11 a.m. on the following dates: October 9 and December 11, 2014 and February 12 and April 9, 2015.  For a list of healthier food suggestions for the classroom click here.

  • LCAP Approved by County
    The Local Countrol Accountability Plan (LCAP) was recently approved by the Ventura County Office of Education. The LCAP outlines the instructional and financial goals for the Pleasant Valley School District.  This plan was written using the input of staff, students, parents, and community members. Please take the the time to review our goals, as well as the plans we have set to reach those goals. PVSD LCAP 2014

  • Title I School - Supplemental Education Services (SES) 

    The attached list contains CDE approved SES providers who offer tutoring services to eligible Title I School students.  
     
    If you're interested in learning more, the SES Fair will be held at El Descnso School Multi Purpose Room, 1099 Bedford, from 4:30p to 6:00p.

  • Board Meetings 

    TeamworkRegular Board meetings will be at 6:00 p.m. in the City Hall Council Chambers. Broadcasting will start at 6:00 p.m. on Channel 10 for Time Warner customers and on Channel 29 for Verizon FiOS customers. Agendas are posted the week of the Board meeting.     Special Board meetings are usually conducted at the District Office. Exact location of the meeting is indicated on the agenda.
